Verbij (main Dutch traditional windmill designer/constructor) has build new mills all over the world for more than 30 years. You can currently find six of them in Japan, three in The United States and one in Canada. In consultation with the client, we design, construct and detail the mill entirely ourselves. In our work center (Hoogmade - Holland) there is sufficient space and material to build all large parts in advance. We assemble the final product on site together with a local contractor.
Verbij has been able to restore the largest authentic windmill in the world with 35-meter wings and a view over the Pacific Ocean, namely Murphy Windmill in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. West of Chicago we restored the Fabyan Windmill. This windmill did not run for 60 years and is the pride of the area now. From the famous Holland Michigan windmill we replaced the wings, dome, stage and tailbeam.
